My name is Sophie Homan.

I have been an enthusiastic and creative cook for as long as I can remember. I took my first professional role in 1997 in a 4* country house hotel, in the Val de Lobo area of the Algarve Portugal, working under a Dorchester trained chef.

I have spent the years since cooking in many different establishments;

From cooking tapas in Valencia, Spain to working onĀ Organic farms in Portugal learning traditional family recipes.

Cooking on the canal barges cruising through some of the best wine regions of France.

Also many private functions in people’s homes and ten years experience of chalet cooking.

I love foods from all over the world and have learnt alot of my skills from living and working in other countries.

More recently I have established myself in the Morzine area of the Portes du Soleil and have spent the last six winters cooking freelance.

So far all of my work has been sourced by word of mouth and recommendations.

However, it is time to establish a website and move with the times.
